CLETS Compliance Information and Training

The Probation Department maintains compliance with requirements established and enforced by the Department of Justice California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (CLETS).  Our department works with stakeholders to ensure all contractors and vendors who have access or exposure to Confidential Offender Record Information (CORI) have fulfilled training and background requirements.

Probation ensures government entities and private agencies who have contracts with the department have reviewed and signed the appropriate Management Control Agreement form indicating the entity's consent to cooperate with Probation (as the CLETS subscribing agency) in the implementation of the agreement and to accomplish the directives for service under the agreement provisions.  Signing this agreement certifies vendors and contractors have read and are familiar with the five documents referenced in the agreement.

Government entities: use the CLETS Contractor Management Control Agreement (HDC 0004A).

Private agencies: use the CLETS Private Contractor Management Control Agreement (HDC 0004B). Private agencies and their employees working at Probation must also sign the  FBI CJIS Security Addendum (HDC 0012).

Employees who have unescorted access within Probation facilities must view the CLETS Security Awareness Training Presentation and sign the corresponding Security Awareness Presentation Acknowledgment Form.
